Handcrafted for spirit communication, ancestor work, remembrance, and ritual focus, this 108-bead Ritual Mala brings deep wine-red garnet together with black obsidian, ebony, reconstituted howlite skulls, and matte black glass seed beads. A freehand-burned wooden Vigil Seal and crimson tassel finish the dark, restrained strand.

Move through the mala one bead at a time, pairing each counting bead with a prayer, petition, invocation, name, question, mantra, or focused intention. The pale skull beads mark moments of mortality and remembrance, while silver-colored accents catch the light against the black and garnet.

The Vigil Seal

Hanging below the ornate silver-colored metal guru bead, the original wooden Seal depicts a single burning candle surrounded by radiating lines. Its light symbolizes presence, attention, and a vigil maintained in darkness. This is an original element of this Ritual Mala, not a traditional mala component. The artwork was burned entirely freehand without tracing, engraving, laser equipment, or mechanical reproduction.

Working With Your Ritual Mala

Begin beside the guru bead and move through all 108 counting beads. Return to the guru bead to complete a cycle. Use the strand before contact to establish focus and boundaries, during repetitive calling or petition, or afterward for closing and grounding. When not in use, it may be carried, worn, placed on an altar, or kept in a sacred space.

Individually handcrafted and ritually blessed before leaving the studio, this one-of-a-kind mala will not be recreated in this exact combination of materials, bead arrangement, metal components, skull elements, and freehand artwork.

Care and Notes

• Handle with care to preserve the cord and beadwork.
• The Vigil Seal is natural wood with entirely freehand-burned artwork. Natural stone and wood vary in color, grain, pattern, and finish.
• Garnet can appear nearly black in low light and reveal deep red tones under stronger light. Reconstituted howlite skulls may vary in color and carved detail.
• Wear over time is expected with natural materials. If the cord eventually gives under long-term use, rebuilding services are available to restring the piece and return it to working condition.
• Colors may vary slightly from photos or videos due to lighting and monitor settings.
