Custom Psychograph Commissions

Please read this page in its entirety before submitting a commission inquiry. The information below outlines the creative process, available finishes, pricing, production timelines, and booking requirements. Familiarizing yourself with these details beforehand helps ensure that my commission process is the right fit for your expectations.

Each custom Psychograph from Fifth Gate Mystic is an individually handcrafted work of art, created around a theme, symbolism, or magical purpose meaningful to its future keeper.

Drawing inspiration from the 19th-century Psychograph design of spiritualist Hudson Tuttle, each piece is constructed and decorated by hand, with original pyrography and artwork developed specifically for the commission.

Custom Psychograph commissions are currently open for a limited number of bookings.

The Creative Process

Custom commissions are accepted on a case-by-case basis and require full artistic freedom.

You're welcome to share your desired theme, meaningful symbols, preferred colors, magical intentions, and elements you would like included or avoided. These details provide the foundation for the work, while the final composition, artistic interpretation, and execution remain at my discretion.

I do not provide preliminary sketches, design proofs, approval rounds, or revisions. Each piece develops through my individual artistic process rather than through a predetermined design.

If you're looking for an exact reproduction or a piece constructed to detailed specifications, my custom commission process may not be the right fit.

Available Wood Finishes

Custom Psychographs are available in a limited range of wood finishes, primarily Light and Dark. Examples of both finishes can be viewed on previously completed Psychographs in the Divination Tools collection. A pale, natural wood finish is also available upon request.

I do not offer finishes darker than the Dark treatment shown in my existing work. Psychographs are intended to be functional tools for spirit communication, and maintaining clear visibility of the letters, numbers, and other markings is an important part of their design. Extremely dark finishes can compromise legibility, particularly when working in low-light conditions.

While color palettes and decorative details may vary according to the theme of each commission, the available wood finishes are limited to preserve both the appearance and functionality of the finished piece.

Pricing and Booking

Custom Psychograph commissions begin at $300.

Each commission is individually priced according to the complexity of the requested theme, the artwork involved, and any specialty materials required. More elaborate designs may be quoted above the starting price.

All custom work is accepted on a case-by-case basis and requires full artistic freedom. Once your inquiry has been reviewed and accepted, I'll provide a quote and estimated shipping timeframe before creating a private Shopify listing for your purchase.

Full payment is required to secure a commission opening. Deposits and installment arrangements are not offered.

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance or reserve a place in the production schedule.

Production and Shipping

Each Psychograph is individually handcrafted, and production is scheduled around existing commissions and other workshop responsibilities.

Current commission scheduling allows for an estimated fulfillment window of up to eight weeks, with the specific shipping estimate confirmed before purchase. Particularly elaborate projects may require additional time, which will be discussed in advance.

Because these are individually created works, no two Psychographs will be exactly alike.
