One of a kind. This piece will not be recreated in this exact form.
Created within the elemental current of Water, The Tides is a handcrafted talisman for intuition, adaptation, emotional movement, and remaining grounded while circumstances shift. Water does not stay fixed. It advances, recedes, changes course, and takes the shape required by the path before it while remaining wholly itself.
At the heart of this piece is a natural shell personally collected, cleaned, prepared, and detailed by hand. Rather than using the shell as decoration, the entire talisman was built outward from it, allowing an object shaped by the movement of actual water to become the central ritual focus.
Mother-of-pearl, marine agate, tiger's eye, rosewood, and hematite continue that relationship between movement and stability. The result is a Water talisman centered not solely on softness or emotional receptivity, but on the ability to move, perceive, adjust, and continue forward without surrendering one's center.

The Shell and Pendant
The central shell measures approximately 2 inches long by 2.5 inches wide. Three downward-pointing elemental Water triangles descend across its natural surface, surrounded by silver detailing that follows the shell's existing growth lines rather than concealing them.
Above the shell rests a hand-burned wooden pendant bearing flowing lines suggestive of currents, waves, and the continual movement of water. Its imagery was created specifically for this piece and serves as a symbolic counterpart to the natural shell beneath it.
Together, the two elements unite natural material and created symbol: water's physical imprint upon the shell and the human act of intentionally giving that current symbolic form.

Numerological Structure
Built around a foundation of 3 through intentional repetition and symbolic design. Three carries the current of movement, action, and manifestation: the point at which possibility begins to take form and move forward.
That structure is made visible upon the shell itself through three descending elemental Water triangles. Within The Tides, three represents movement through changing conditions rather than remaining fixed within them, reinforcing the talisman's central work of adapting, responding, and continuing forward while maintaining a grounded center.

Handcrafted and Consecrated
This piece is entirely one of a kind and will not be recreated in this exact form. The central shell was personally collected, cleaned, prepared, and detailed by hand, while the wooden pendant was individually burned and finished for this talisman. Natural variation in the shell, stones, wood grain, linework, and surface character is an intentional part of the piece's individual identity.
Every talisman is consecrated through ritual preparation before leaving my hands.
Care and Notes
Please handle this piece with care. The centerpiece is a genuine natural shell and is inherently more fragile than stone, wood, or metal. Impact, dropping, crushing pressure, bending force, or rough handling may crack or break the shell. This natural fragility is part of the material and should be considered when wearing, storing, or working with the talisman.
When not in use, store the piece where the shell will not be subjected to pressure from heavier objects. Treat this as a handcrafted ritual object rather than a piece intended for continuous everyday wear.
Handle the cord and beadwork with care to preserve longevity. Wear over time is expected with natural materials. Should the cord eventually give under long-term use, this is considered part of the piece's natural lifecycle. Rebuilding services are available if you would like the piece restrung and returned to working condition.
Colors may vary slightly from photos due to lighting, natural stone and shell variation, wood tone, and monitor settings.
