The Crossing Place is a hand-burned wooden ritual stand made as a portable symbolic threshold for spirit communication and liminal work. Four botanical and lunar paths converge around a black druzy agate, creating a crossing you can intentionally open for a working, close afterward, and store away until next time.

About This Piece

An approximately 2-inch black druzy agate sits at the center of four inward-moving paths of flowing lines, botanical elements, crescent moons, and small burned details. The imagery is burned entirely freehand into the wood, leaving its natural grain visible. Four black feet lift the stand from the surface beneath it.

In contemporary metaphysical practice, black agate is associated with grounding, stability, and protection, while druzy formations are associated with energetic focus and amplification. Here, the stone serves as the symbolic meeting point of the crossing.

Use and Purpose

Place the stand in your working space and intentionally open the crossing before beginning. It is a temporary symbolic threshold, not a communication method on its own. Use it alongside your preferred practice, such as a Psychograph, spirit board, pendulum, scrying tools, cards, mediumship, paranormal investigation, or direct spirit communication.

When your working is complete, intentionally close the crossing before removing and storing the stand. The included printed card offers a simple method for opening, using, and closing the threshold, which you may adapt to your own tradition.
