One of a kind. This piece will not be recreated in this exact form.

The Steadfast Ritual Mala is a handcrafted 108-bead ritual strand for workings centered on courage, spiritual protection, endurance, and personal sovereignty. Dragon's blood jasper, pyrite, and rosewood meet an original freehand-burned Shield and Flame Seal, creating a ritual companion for holding your ground and continuing along your chosen path.

Deep green and burgundy stone, warm rosewood, and the metallic luster of pyrite give the strand its earthy character. Silver-colored glass seed beads, ornate gold-colored spacers, and an ornate silver-colored metal guru bead provide contrast, while a forest green tassel and coordinated bead falls finish the piece.

Move through the strand one bead at a time, giving each prayer, affirmation, petition, mantra, or magical intention a place within a cycle of 108.

  • Courage, confidence, and strength in difficult circumstances
  • Spiritual protection, warding, and defensive magical workings
  • Establishing and maintaining personal and energetic boundaries
  • Endurance, perseverance, and resilience through prolonged challenges
  • Reclaiming personal authority and strengthening resolve
  • Working through fear, hesitation, and unwanted influences
  • Grounding, focus, and stability during magical practice
  • Commitment to personal goals, chosen paths, and sustained action
  • Meditation, repetitive prayer, mantra, and focused intention

The 108-Bead Structure

This full mala contains 108 counting beads arranged in a mirrored sequence of dragon's blood jasper, rosewood, and pyrite. Rosewood provides a warm, lightweight foundation, with pyrite appearing at recurring intervals for metallic contrast.

Silver-colored glass seed beads create separation and rhythm throughout the counting cycle, while ornate gold-colored spacers add decorative accents. The strand meets at an ornate silver-colored metal guru bead, with the wooden Shield and Flame Seal suspended beneath it. A forest green tassel is framed by coordinated bead falls featuring rosewood, dragon's blood jasper, silver-colored glass seed beads, and gold-colored accents.

The Shield and Flame Seal

An upright flame rests within a protective shield, surrounded by small burned accent marks. In this original design, the shield represents defense and the boundaries we establish and maintain. The flame represents vitality, courage, determination, and the inner strength to defend those boundaries.

Together, they express the central intention of the mala: the courage to stand firm, the endurance to continue, and the protection of one's own power.

The Shield and Flame Seal is an original contemporary magical design informed by historical symbolism, not a reproduction of a specific ancient emblem. Its artwork was burned entirely freehand, without tracing, engraving, laser equipment, or mechanical reproduction. The natural wooden surface retains its individual grain and character.

Materials and Symbolism

  • Dragon's Blood Jasper: Green and red stone associated in contemporary magical practice with courage, strength, vitality, resilience, and grounding.
  • Pyrite: Metallic stone commonly associated with protection, confidence, personal power, prosperity, and determination.
  • Rosewood: A warm, lightweight foundation with contemporary magical associations of grounding, stability, strength, and connection to the natural world.
  • Silver-Colored Glass Seed Beads: Separation, rhythm, and metallic contrast throughout the strand.
  • Ornate Gold-Colored Spacers: Warmth and decorative emphasis at recurring points within the counting cycle.
  • Ornate Silver-Colored Metal Guru Bead: The central junction of the mala.
  • Freehand-Burned Wooden Shield and Flame Seal: Original artwork representing courage, spiritual protection, endurance, and personal boundaries.
  • Forest Green Tassel with Coordinated Bead Falls: Finished with natural beads, silver-colored glass accents, and gold-colored decorative details.
  • Nylon Cord: Used to assemble the strand, with knots secured through heat sealing.

Working With Your Ritual Mala

Begin with the first counting bead beside the guru bead and move through the strand one bead at a time. Each bead may accompany a prayer, affirmation, petition, mantra, or focused magical intention. Returning to the guru bead completes one cycle of 108.

For protective workings, repeat an invocation or intention centered on warding, maintaining boundaries, or preserving personal authority. During difficult or uncertain periods, use the strand to accompany rituals for courage, endurance, and commitment to your chosen path.

The Shield and Flame Seal can serve as a visual focal point during meditation or protective rites. Carry or wear the mala as a personal ritual companion, place it upon an altar, or incorporate it into regular devotional and magical practice.

Dimensions

  • Counting beads: 108
  • Neck loop, measured along one side: Approximately 19 inches
  • Full hanging length: Approximately 24 inches

This is a longer ritual piece. When worn, use mindfulness during activities where the mala may catch, swing freely, or repeatedly contact surrounding objects.

Handcrafted and Consecrated

Individually handcrafted by Fifth Gate Mystic, this Ritual Mala will be ritually blessed before leaving the studio.

This exact combination of materials, bead arrangement, decorative components, freehand artwork, and finishing details will not be recreated.

Care and Natural Variations

  • Handle with care to preserve the longevity of the cord, beadwork, and natural wooden seal.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, harsh chemicals, and abrasive surfaces. Keep pyrite dry.
  • Natural stone and wood vary in color, grain, pattern, inclusions, and surface texture. Dragon's blood jasper may display varying proportions of green, red, burgundy, and darker coloration. Rosewood may range from warm reddish brown to deeper brown tones.
  • Pyrite may exhibit natural variations in metallic luster, coloration, and surface texture.
  • Silver-colored and gold-colored components may develop surface wear or changes in finish over time.
  • Heat-sealed knots may display slight discoloration from the sealing process.
  • Wear over time is expected with natural materials. Should the cord eventually give under long-term use, rebuilding services are available if you would like the piece restrung and returned to working condition.
  • Colors may vary slightly from photos or videos due to lighting and monitor settings.
