One of a kind. This piece will not be recreated in this exact form.
The Spirit of Place Ritual Mala is a handcrafted 108-bead mala for land spirit work, connection with place, and building a relationship with the living landscape. Pale green labradorite, tree agate, and sandalwood form the strand, with black glass seed beads and silver-colored accents adding rhythm and contrast. An original freehand-burned wooden woodland seal and deep forest green tassel complete the piece.
Move through the beads with a prayer, offering, petition, greeting, question, mantra, or focused intention. Work with the mala before entering a natural space, while getting to know the spirits of a particular place, or as part of an ongoing land-based ritual practice.
The Spirit of Place Seal
Suspended below the ornate silver-colored metal guru bead, the natural wooden Spirit of Place Seal depicts a winding path disappearing into a wooded landscape beneath a crescent moon. The path represents approach: entering a place with intention, attention, and respect for what already resides there.
The seal is an original element of this Ritual Mala, not a traditional mala component. Its artwork was burned entirely freehand, without tracing, engraving, laser equipment, or mechanical reproduction.

Working With Your Ritual Mala
Begin beside the guru bead and move through all 108 counting beads, returning to the guru bead to complete a cycle. Repeat a greeting, prayer, petition, offering, name, question, or intention directed toward the spirits of a place or the land itself.
Carry the mala into a natural space for quiet observation or divination, keep it on a land or spirit altar, or wear it as part of an ongoing practice centered upon relationship with place.

Individually handcrafted and ritually blessed before leaving the studio, this one-of-a-kind mala will not be recreated in this exact combination of materials, bead arrangement, metal components, and freehand artwork.
Care and Natural Variations
- Handle with care to preserve the cord and beadwork.
- The Spirit of Place Seal is natural wood with entirely freehand-burned artwork.
- Natural stone and wood vary in color, grain, pattern, translucency, and finish. Labradorite may show varying degrees and colors of flash depending upon the individual bead, lighting, and viewing angle. Tree agate naturally varies from predominantly white to heavily patterned green.
- Wear over time is expected with natural materials. If the cord eventually gives under long-term use, rebuilding services are available to restring the piece and return it to working condition.
- Colors may vary slightly from photos or videos due to lighting and monitor settings.
