A fully hand-burned serpent divination board built as a blended pendulum and spirit-communication surface. Layered response paths, a full-alphabet ring, and numerical markers are arranged across a 12-inch Baltic birch wood round, creating a functional working surface for intuitive and ritual practice.

At the center, a natural labradorite cabochon has been permanently affixed to the board, serving as both a visual focal point and a symbolic gateway within the design.

The Symbol

At the center rests a coiled serpent encircling a natural labradorite stone. Across cultures and magical traditions, serpents have long been associated with wisdom, transformation, hidden knowledge, guardianship, cyclical renewal, and the mysteries that exist beyond ordinary perception. Their ability to shed their skin has made them enduring symbols of rebirth, change, and personal evolution.

The serpent's winding form creates a protective enclosure around the central stone, evoking images of ancient guardians, world serpents, and threshold keepers found throughout myth and folklore. The design speaks to knowledge gained through experience, transformation through challenge, and the power found within hidden currents.

The labradorite reinforces these themes. Traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, psychic perception, and liminal spaces, it has long been regarded as a stone of mystery and unseen worlds. Its shifting flashes of blue and gold seem to appear and disappear depending on the angle of light, making it a fitting focal point for a divination surface centered on subtle perception.

The outer ring follows an established pendulum response structure with YES, NO, MAYBE, and REPHRASE placements arranged for intuitive movement during use. The interior ring holds the full alphabet alongside numerical markers, allowing the board to function as both a pendulum and spirit communication format.

Craftsmanship

Fully hand-burned pyrography on a solid wood round, stained dark and detailed with metallic gold and iridescent accents, then sealed in a protective satin finish. A natural labradorite cabochon has been permanently affixed at the center. Every line, letter, illustration, and painted detail was completed by hand. The combination of dark stain, metallic detailing, and labradorite flash creates depth and visual movement while preserving the board's functionality as a working divination surface.
