A handcrafted 108-bead Ritual Mala created for magical practices centered upon grounding, centering, stability, and reconnecting with the present moment. Featuring Picasso jasper, rosewood, hematite, silver glass seed beads, silver-colored metal accents, an ornate metal guru bead, an original freehand-burned Grounding Seal, and a forest green tassel with coordinated bead fall, this piece adapts the traditional counting structure of the mala for contemporary magical practice.

Designed to be worked one bead at a time, each of the 108 counting beads may accompany a prayer, petition, mantra, affirmation, or focused intention.

The 108-Bead Structure

The mala contains 108 counting beads, preserving the traditional numerical structure of a full mala. The strand combines 6mm and 8mm Picasso jasper, including both polished and matte beads, with rosewood and hematite. Silver glass seed beads and silver-colored metal accents create rhythm and definition throughout the strand. The counting beads are arranged around an underlying structure of four, creating repeated four-bead groupings within the traditional 108-bead form.

The Grounding Seal

Beneath the metal guru bead hangs an individually freehand-burned wooden Seal depicting a tree extending both upward into its branches and downward through an exposed network of roots. The tree represents the relationship between growth and foundation, while the visible roots emphasize anchoring, stability, and connection with the earth.

The Seal is an original element of this Ritual Mala design and is not a traditional component of mala construction. Each is burned entirely freehand without tracing, engraving, laser equipment, or mechanical reproduction.

Numerological Structure

This mala incorporates a foundation of 4 through repeated four-bead groupings within its 108 counting beads. Within this practice, four carries associations with stability, boundaries, grounding, and establishing order. That structure reinforces the mala's grounding current and the symbolism of roots establishing a firm foundation.

Working With Your Ritual Mala

Begin with the first counting bead beside the guru bead and move through the strand one bead at a time. Each bead may accompany a prayer, petition, mantra, affirmation, visualization, or focused intention. Upon returning to the guru bead, one complete cycle of 108 has been worked. Work one cycle or several. The mala may also be carried, worn, placed upon an altar, or kept within a sacred space when not actively in use.

This Ritual Mala was individually handcrafted and will be ritually blessed before leaving the studio. As a one-of-a-kind piece, this exact combination of materials, bead arrangement, and freehand-burned artwork will not be recreated.

Care and Notes

• Handle with care to preserve the longevity of the cord and beadwork.
• The Grounding Seal is natural wood with entirely freehand-burned artwork.
• Natural stone and wood carry individual variations in color, grain, pattern, and finish.
• Wear over time is expected with natural materials. Should the cord eventually give under long-term use, this is considered part of the piece's natural lifecycle. Rebuilding services are available if you would like the piece restrung and returned to working condition.
• Colors may vary slightly from photos or videos due to lighting and monitor settings, though I do my best to capture each piece as accurately as possible.
