Created for continuous lunar protection throughout every phase of the moon, Lunar Ward is a handcrafted talisman for spiritual protection, warding, energetic discernment, and maintaining boundaries during magical and spirit work. Black tourmalinated quartz, obsidian, ebony, silver-colored accents, iridescent glass seed beads, and a silver-and-black moon phase charm come together in a ritual piece grounded in the protective and cyclical associations of lunar magic.

Rather than being dedicated to a single lunar phase, this talisman is intended to accompany the practitioner throughout the entire lunar cycle, supporting protective workings as the moon waxes, reaches fullness, wanes, and begins again.

The Pendants and Their Symbolism

The round wooden pendant bears two freehand-burned concentric circles surrounding a central point. The circles represent layered protective boundaries, while the point symbolizes the practitioner and the space being protected: a secure spiritual center held within intentional limits.

Above it, an oval wooden pendant bears a three-barred vertical mark. Its central axis and three crossing lines represent stability, established boundaries, and resistance to unwanted intrusion, complementing the enclosing circles below.

A rectangular silver-and-black moon phase charm hangs beneath the wooden pendants. Depicting the progression of the lunar cycle, it symbolizes continuity of protective magic through the moon's changing phases.

Together, these symbols express Lunar Ward's central intention: protection maintained, boundaries upheld, and spiritual awareness sustained. The wooden symbols are original, folk-magic-informed arrangements, not reproductions of historical ceremonial seals.

Sacred Materials

The following associations draw on traditional beliefs, contemporary magical symbolism, and my own practice.

• Black Tourmalinated Rutilated Quartz (8mm): Protection, grounding, energetic clarity, and discernment. Natural black inclusions within the quartz visually echo the relationship between illumination and shadow.
• Obsidian (6mm): Spiritual protection, banishing, shielding, boundaries, and releasing unwanted influences.
• Ebony (8mm): Stability, endurance, grounding, and maintaining protective intentions.
• Silver-and-black moon phase charm: Lunar cycles, magical timing, and protective continuity.
• Silver-colored metal spacers and accents: Structure, visual balance, and symbolic connection to the lunar current.
• Clear iridescent glass seed beads: Light, reflection, clarity, and subtle illumination among the darker materials.
• Black nylon cord

Numerological Structure

Lunar Ward is built around a foundation of 4 through intentional repetition and structural counts. Within the numerological system used in my own practice, four is associated with stability, protection, calm, banishing, and secure boundaries. This grounded foundation complements the changing lunar cycle.

Handcrafted and Consecrated

Both wooden pendants were individually freehand-burned and finished by hand. Variations in linework, wood grain, burn depth, stone inclusions, bead coloration, and surface finish are part of this talisman's individual identity.

Every talisman is consecrated through ritual preparation before leaving my hands.

Care and Notes

Handle with care to preserve the cord and beadwork. This is a handcrafted ritual object rather than a heavy-duty piece, and wear over time is expected with natural materials. If the cord eventually gives under long-term use, rebuilding services are available to have the piece restrung and returned to working condition.

Black tourmalinated quartz contains naturally occurring inclusions. Individual beads may vary in clarity, coloration, and the distribution of black mineral formations. Colors may also vary slightly from photos or videos because of lighting, natural material variation, wood tone, stone inclusions, iridescent glass, and individual screen settings.
