One of a kind. This piece will not be recreated in this exact form.

Created in honor of Khepri, the ancient Egyptian god of the rising sun, this talisman draws from the scarab imagery through which he was most famously represented. Khepri embodied the sun's emergence at dawn and the continual renewal of existence, making him a powerful figure of becoming, transformation, and new beginnings.

This piece centers upon the currents of renewal, emergence, forward movement, and the continual process of becoming. It honors both the beginning of something new and the ability to rise again into what comes next.

The Work This Piece Supports

  • New beginnings and periods of transition
  • Renewal after endings, stagnation, or difficult chapters
  • Rituals centered upon personal growth and becoming
  • Morning and solar magical practices
  • Building momentum toward a new path or undertaking
  • Reconnecting with personal vitality and purpose
  • Honoring Khepri through devotional or altar work

The Pendants

At the center rests a hand-burned wooden pendant depicting the Akhet, the ancient Egyptian horizon symbol showing the solar disk rising between two peaks. Closely connected with sunrise and the sun's daily emergence, it reflects the continual return of light and the beginning of a new cycle.

Above it rests a second hand-burned pendant depicting an Egyptian blue water lily. The flower appears extensively throughout ancient Egyptian art and became associated with the rising sun, creation, rebirth, and rejuvenation. Its presence complements the rising sun below, carrying the imagery of emergence and renewed life throughout the piece.

Suspended beneath is a gold-colored scarab charm, directly honoring Khepri. The scarab was one of ancient Egypt's most enduring symbols of renewal and rebirth, intimately connected with Khepri, whose name relates to the Egyptian concept of ḫpr, "to become" or "come into being." Together, the horizon, water lily, and scarab create a unified visual current of rising, renewal, and becoming.

Sacred Materials

  • Lapis Lazuli: wisdom, insight, spiritual understanding, and connection with the divine
  • Carnelian: vitality, courage, motivation, and purposeful action
  • Ebony Wood: discipline, endurance, stability, and intentional practice
  • Hematite: grounding, balance, focus, and steadiness
  • Hand-Burned Wooden Pendants: symbolic focus, intentional craftsmanship, and original magical imagery

Lapis lazuli, carnelian, ebony, hematite, and gold all have documented histories of use in ancient Egypt. The metaphysical associations listed above reflect traditional and modern magical practice rather than claims that these exact meanings were assigned to the materials in ancient Egypt.

Numerological Structure

Built around a foundation of 3 through intentional repetition and symbolic design. Within this talisman, three represents action, movement, creative force, and forward momentum. It reinforces Khepri's current of emergence: not simply renewal as a passive state, but the active process of coming into being and moving into what comes next.

Ritual Applications

  • Worn during rituals for renewal, transition, or new beginnings
  • Used during morning or sunrise magical practice
  • Placed upon an altar honoring Khepri or solar divinities
  • Incorporated into workings focused on growth, momentum, and personal transformation
  • Used as a focal point when beginning a new path, project, or chapter
  • Carried as a reminder of the continual possibility of becoming and renewal

Best suited for intentional use rather than casual daily wear due to its weight, length and structure.

Dimensions

  • Neck loop (one side): approximately 19 inches
  • Full hanging length: approximately 25 inches

Handcrafted and Consecrated

This piece is entirely one of a kind and will not be recreated in this exact form. The pendants were individually hand-burned and detailed by hand. Natural variation in linework, wood grain, burn depth, painted accents, and surface character is part of the piece's individual identity. Every talisman is consecrated through ritual preparation before leaving my hands.

Care and Notes

Handle with care to preserve the longevity of the cord and beadwork. Treat this as a handcrafted ritual object rather than a heavy-duty piece. Wear over time is expected with natural materials. Should the cord eventually give under long-term use, this is considered part of the piece's natural lifecycle. Rebuilding services are available if you would like the piece restrung and returned to working condition.

Colors may vary slightly from photos or videos due to lighting, natural stone variation, painted details, and wood tone.
