Created as a ritual charm centered on choice, transition, opportunity, and the power found at life's thresholds, this piece serves as a physical reminder that every path begins with a decision. Crossroads have long occupied a place within magical and spiritual traditions as places of encounter, change, spirit contact, and the opening of new possibilities.

The wooden charm is hand-burned with the word "Crossroads" on one side and its corresponding Ogham transliteration on the reverse, creating a connection between modern ritual practice and older symbolic traditions.

The Charm

Suspended from the charm is a glass bottle containing yarrow and grains of paradise, materials traditionally associated with opening roads, overcoming obstacles, strengthening intention, and supporting movement toward desired outcomes.

A metal key charm accompanies the bottle, representing access, opportunity, threshold crossing, and the ability to unlock new possibilities. The key serves as a reminder that every path forward begins with a choice to step through the door before us.

The beadwork is strung on durable nylon cord and incorporates a numerological pattern of three, a number commonly associated with crossroads, choice, movement, and the meeting of multiple paths.

Sacred Materials

• Larvikite: Associated with insight, adaptability, and navigating periods of change. Encourages awareness when approaching new opportunities and directions.
• Hematite: Grounding, stabilizing, and protective. Helps maintain focus and balance while moving through periods of transition.
• Glass Seed Beads (Aged Gold and Matte Black): Gold reflects opportunity, success, and favorable outcomes. Black provides grounding, protection, and stability while navigating change.
• Yarrow: Traditionally associated with courage, protection, and overcoming obstacles that stand between intention and action.
• Grains of Paradise: Long associated with prosperity, movement, success, and opening favorable roads ahead.
• Metal Key Charm: Symbolizes access, opportunity, thresholds, and the unlocking of new possibilities.
• Hand-Burned Wooden Charm: Serves as the central symbolic anchor of the piece and features both the English word and its Ogham counterpart.

Each charm is individually freehand burned by hand rather than created through laser engraving or mechanical reproduction. Variations in lettering, Ogham linework, burn depth, wood grain, bottle color, key charm style, and finish are a natural part of the process and ensure that no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
