The Symbol

At the center stands Anubis, one of the most recognizable deities of ancient Egypt. Traditionally associated with embalming, protection of the dead, sacred rites, and the weighing of the heart, Anubis is best understood as a guardian of transitions. He stands at the threshold between one state and another, guiding souls safely through passages that are uncertain, unseen, or transformative.

For modern practitioners, Anubis represents discernment, protection during spiritual work, respectful engagement with ancestral currents, and the wisdom required to navigate liminal spaces without fear. Craftsmanship

Fully hand-burned pyrography on a solid Baltic birch wood round, featuring a layered oak finish with selectively applied dark walnut stain for depth and contrast. Metallic gold detailing highlights the central portrait and symbolic elements before the board is sealed beneath a protective satin finish.

Every line, letter, illustration, stain application, and painted detail was completed entirely by hand. The combination of warm natural wood tones, darker stained accents, and restrained gold detailing creates depth while preserving the board's functionality as a working divination surface.
