Created in honor of Lughnasadh, this handcrafted ritual set celebrates the first harvest through imagery of radiant suns and bound wheat. Traditionally associated with the god Lugh and the beginning of the grain harvest, Lughnasadh marks a season of gratitude, prosperity, skilled labor, and the rewards earned through patience and dedication.

This one-of-a-kind set includes two hand-burned ritual candle holders, two matching wooden intention discs, and two tumbled citrine stones, designed to support seasonal ritual, altar work, and intentional magical practice.

The Symbolism

The radiant sun motifs reflect vitality, illumination, and the life-giving warmth upon which every harvest depends, while the bundled wheat symbolizes nourishment, abundance, and the successful completion of cycles of growth.

The removable charm assemblies feature pyrite, citrine, gold-colored metal accents, gold-colored glass beads, and Celtic triquetra charms. In modern magical practice, pyrite is often associated with prosperity, confidence, and the rewards of dedicated work, while citrine is traditionally connected with abundance, joy, and success. The triquetra reflects continuity, unity, and the ever-turning cycles of the seasons.

Craftsmanship

Each wooden component has been individually freehand burned before being finished with an oak stain that enhances the natural grain. Hand-painted gold accents highlight portions of candle holders and the wheat and solar imagery, adding warmth while allowing the character of the wood to remain visible beneath the finish.

The removable charm assemblies may be carefully removed or repositioned if desired, though excessive stretching should be avoided to preserve their long-term integrity. All wooden components have been sealed to help protect the finish.

Handcrafted and Consecrated

Each piece is individually handcrafted and will naturally contain variation in wood grain, burn depth, stain, and painted detailing. This ritual set has been consecrated through ritual preparation before leaving my hands.

Care and Notes

• Designed to accommodate standard taper candles measuring approximately 7/8 inch (2.2 cm) in diameter. Due to normal variation between candle manufacturers, some taper candles may fit more snugly or loosely than others. A candle adhesive, wax, or holder putty may be used if needed to achieve a secure fit.
• Candles not included. Any candles shown in photographs are used for presentation purposes only.
• Best suited for intentional ritual or altar use rather than prolonged unattended burning sessions.
• Remove wax buildup gently to preserve the finish and detailing.
• Never leave burning candles unattended.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct water contact, or extreme heat.
• Wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth as needed.
• Wear over time is expected with natural materials and regular use and is part of the piece's natural lifecycle.
