Crafted from solid acacia wood and entirely freehand-burned, this kitchen witch spoon draws upon imagery associated with Hekate, bringing together the key, crescent moons, stars, and winding botanical forms for magical work in the kitchen, at the altar, and beyond.
About This Piece
The bowl centers upon an ornate antique-style key, framed by mirrored crescent moons, small stars, and curling botanical ornamentation. Flowing lines continue down the handle, ending in a dark crescent moon and creating a design that carries the imagery across the full length of the spoon.
The key is one of the enduring symbols associated with Hekate, reflecting her connections with thresholds, gateways, boundaries, and access to that which lies beyond them. Lunar imagery likewise has a long history within later devotional and magical traditions surrounding Hekate. Together, the key, crescents, and celestial details make this piece particularly suited to magic involving crossroads, protection, transition, spirit work, liminal spaces, and the opening or closing of paths.
Whether used for stirring herbs, blending recipes, preparing ritual oils, mixing teas, or incorporating food preparation into magical practice, this piece is designed to serve as both a functional kitchen tool and a ritual object for those who work with Hekate or are drawn to the symbolism surrounding her.
Every line is burned entirely by hand, allowing the natural grain and character of the wood to become part of the finished design.
Finished with food-grade mineral oil and ritually prepared before packing.
